MORTIFICATION, STRYPER, SAVIOUR MACHINE To Play Mexico City
July 1, 2004Australian Christian metallers MORTIFICATION will play a huge concert in Mexico City on November 20 with STRYPER, SAVIOUR MACHINE, NARNIA and EXOUSIA. Additional MORTIFICATION dates in Sao Paulo, Brazil (Nov. 23) and Buenos Aires, Argentina (Nov 26) are also currently in the works. More information will be made available soon.
As previously reported, MORTIFICATION's twelfth studio album, "Brain Cleaner" (view cover here) was recently issued through the Rowe Productions label. The follow-up to 2002's "Relentless" is said to be "the heaviest project the band has recorded in 10 years" and is being described as "a lot more of a death metal/grind-orientated album but with plenty of power and thrash metal mixed in to keep it interesting and multi-dimensional."
"Brain Cleaner" marks the recording debut with the group of drummer Mike Forsberg (ex-CYBERGRIND),who replaced Adam Zaffarese last year. Artwork was once again handled by Troy Dunmire ("Primitive Rhythm Machine", "Envision Evangeline", "Triumph of Mercy", "Relentless"),but "Brain Cleaner" represents his "most adventurous" piece to date, according to the group. MORTIFICATION's lineup is completed by Steve Rowe on bass/vocals and Mick Jelinic on guitar.
